I am Samantha, a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor and a registered member of the BACP. I offer a warm, compassionate and confidential non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood and supported. My experience includes supporting adults with a range of emotional and mental health difficulties, alongside working with children, young people and families following bereavement and loss. I understand that reaching out for support can feel like a big step. My approach is gentle and led by you, allowing us to work together at a pace that feels right for you.
My Journey into counselling has been shaped by both professional experience and genuine passion for supporting people through some of life's most difficult moments. I know that reaching out for support can feel daunting, particularly when you may already be feeling overwhelmed, lost or unsure where to begin. For me counselling isn't about telling you what to do or expecting you to have the right words. It is about creating a safe, compassionate space where you can be yourself, explore what is happening for you and feel truly heard without judgement. I work primarily from a person-centred approach, which means you are at the heart of our work together. I believe every person is unique, so I will work at your pace and in a way that respects your individual experiences, needs and choices.
My experience includes supporting adults with a range of emotional and mental health difficulties, including anxiety, low, mood, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, life changes and bereavement. Alongside my counselling practice work, I have experience supporting children, young people and families following bereavement and loss. This has strengthened my understanding of how different grief can be experienced and the importance of providing support that is sensitive to the individual, their age and their circumstances.
The experiences have shaped the warm, gentle and compassionate way I work.
